Title:
Nd isotope data for Réunion Island basalts and cumulate xenoliths
Abstract:
This dataset contains neodymium isotope data for intraplate basalts and cumulates from Piton des Neiges and Piton de la Fournaise, La Réunion (FR). It lists dynamically-corrected 142Nd/144Nd values, which were the focus of the study, dynamically-corrected 143Nd/144Nd, 145Nd/144Nd and 148Nd/144Nd values, and static 150Nd/144Nd, 140Ce/144Nd and 141Pr/144Nd values. Replicate measurements of JNdi, the terrestrial standard, are included for normalization of data from each analytical session. All data were collected on the ThermoScientific Triton thermal ionization mass spectrometer housed at the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism, Carnegie Institution for Science, Washington, DC, USA. The purpose of the study was to determine whether, at high-precision, isotopic variability driven by Hadean geological processes is detectible in young lavas.
